The Nanny and Me Childminder Course is presented by Sr. Maryna Botha. Most mothers need to go back to work, and there is a great need for trained nannies. Who will look after your baby during working hours? It could be a family member, day mother, nursery school, or a nanny at home. With home care the baby will receive one to one care in a safe environment, with less exposure to infections. It is important that the nanny has the knowledge and skills to keep baby safe, stimulated and happy at home. First aid with management of CPR and chocking is of the utmost importance. With The Nanny and Me Childminder Course, the nanny will feel better equipped to handle all the complex situations of baby and child care.
Sr Maryna Botha is the proud mom of three adult children. She has extensive knowledge and a BCur degree in nursing, general, midwifery, psychiatric and community health care nursing. She owns and managed a private well baby clinic in Pretoria. Due to the great need for trained nannies, she started with the nanny training in 2004. Moms need to go back to work and often finds that the little ones are regularly sick in day care. Paediatricians call this the ‘crèche syndrome’. They will advise moms to keep their small children at home if possible. She also realised the importance for save environment and one to one care.
