Montessori is a learning process where children are encouraged to develop as individuals. The Moreleta Montessori Centre for Early Childhood Education was established in 1991, and is situated in Moreleta Security Village. The school is registered with the Gauteng Provincial Government as a Daycare Centre, and with the Department of Education as an independent school.
Moreleta Montessori facilities:
- Bilingual Day Care Centre & Pre-School.
- Daycare from 06h30 to 17h30 – for Babies from 2 months, Toddlers and Pre-Schoolers up to 6 years. Breakfast, Lunch, Midmorning and Midafternoon Snacks are provided.
- Qualified Pre-Primary Teachers – professionally trained in baby and toddler care.
- Main Campus – 2-6 year olds.
- Learning Program for 3-6 year olds – music, swimming, learning activities such as arts and crafts, sensorial, language, maths, history, geography, zoology, botany and science, as well as movement activities for developing gross motor skills, balance and co-ordination.
- Well Kept Playgrounds – sandpits, wheeled toys, balls, swings, balancing equipment and jungle gyms.
- Extra-mural Activities – ballet, cooking classes, action ball, monkeynastix, Kinderkinetics and swimming lessons.
- Baby & Toddler Stimulation Centre – separate facility with large playground.
