Chartwell Castle Amazing Maze. Chartwell Castle and Guesthouse is situated in tranquil Chartwell West, on the Klein Jukskei River. It is a prominent four-storied Castle on 5 Ha (12 acres) on the outskirts of Greater Johannesburg. Accommodation comprises of five suites with private bathrooms and under-floor heating, sleeping a total of 13 guests. The main building is of late 17th Century architectural style. Chartwell Castle is close to the main roads, shopping malls (Fourways Mall, Fourways Crossing, Broadacres Lifestyle Centre, Cedar Square), Monte Casino, The Lion Park, Lanseria Airport, and Fourways Life Hospital.
Chartwell Castle Amazing Maze. Our impressive hedgerow maze boasts more than 900 conifers, and covers about 6000 sq.m. (approximately 1.5 acres). Guests are welcome to view our maze, have a leisurely stroll in fresh air, and even enjoy a picnic (by appointment only). There is an entrance fee to the maze.

- The biggest known uninterrupted hedgerow maze in the Southern world (and the third largest in the world), with over 900 conifers.
- It covers about 6000 sq.m. (approximately 1.5 acres), which is around 5 times bigger than The Hampton Court Maze.
- The centre is ± 12m x 12m.
- You are welcome to use it for your breakaway sessions, games and races, or just to relax and enjoy the peace of the natural surroundings.
- If you wish to view our maze or have a lovely stroll in fresh air, you are welcome to visit us.
- Maze Entrance Fee: R50 for adults, R25 for children under 12 (2015 prices).
- You are welcome to bring your picnic basket, appointment necessary.
